• Unmarried female graduates. 6 vacancies — 5 general plus 1 reserved for wards of battle casualties.
• Age 19 to 25 years as on 1 January 2027 — born not before 2 January 2002 and not after 1 January 2008, both dates included.

• Army personnel jo action mein shahid hue, wounds ya injuries (self-inflicted nahi) se mare, wounded ya disabled hue, ya missing aur presumed dead hain — unke unmarried sons aur unmarried daughters (legally adopted daughters bhi) eligible hain.

Final-year students — 1 April 2027 ka deadline

• Final-year students may apply provided they complete the degree before the course begins.
• Shortlisting ke liye pehle 2 ya 3 saal ke aggregate percentage par depend karega (3 ya 4 saal ki degree ke hisaab se).
• Degree apply karne ki qualification hai, lekin SSB shortlist hone ki guarantee nahi — Army vacancies ke hisaab se filter karega.
• Graduates ko 1 April 2027 tak degree ya provisional certificate Directorate General of Recruiting ko jama karna hoga, nahi toh candidature cancel ho jayega.
• Final-year candidates ko pass certificate plus sabhi semester ki marksheets 1 April 2027 tak jama karni hogi. Nahi kar paye toh sirf additional bond ke hisaab se hi enroll hoga.
• Agar tumhara final-year ya final-semester exam 1 April 2027 ke baad hai, toh tum eligible nahi ho. University exam ya result late hone par koi extension nahi milegi.

Selection ka process

1. Application → shortlisting on bonus marks → SSB interview → medical → merit list → joining letter. Koi written exam nahi hai.
2. SSB shortlisting: pehle week of September 2026.
3. SSB: maximum 5 din, November ya December 2026 mein. SSB centre aur dates choose karne ka window September 2026 ke pehle 14 din tak khula rahega.
4. Medical standards www.joinindianarmy.nic.in par available hain.
5. Final merit order mein selected candidates ko OTA Chennai bhejha jayega, available vacancies ke hisaab se.

Academy jane se pehle physical standards

• 2.4 km run in 13 minutes.
• 15 push-ups · 2 pull-ups · 25 sit-ups.
• Squats: 30 repetitions × 2 sets. Lunges: 10 repetitions × 2 sets.
• Basic swimming ability expected.

Training aur jo rules logon ko surprise karte hain

• Pre-commission training at Officers Training Academy, Chennai — 49 weeks from April 2027.
• Training ke dauran stipend: ₹56,100 per month. Training complete hone par rank: Lieutenant. Commissioning ke baad CTC approximately ₹17–18 lakh per year, free medical cover aur ek home-town journey per year ke alawa.
• Training ke dauran tum shadi nahi kar sakte, aur parents ya guardians ke saath nahi reh sakte. Agar tum application ke baad shadi karte ho, toh training mein entry nahi milegi, even agar SSB aur medical clear kar liya ho. Training ke dauran shadi karne par removal plus government ke kharch ka refund hoga. Yeh wards of battle casualties par bhi apply karta hai.
• Sabhi jo training complete karte hain, unko Madras University se Post Graduate Diploma in Defence Management and Strategic Studies milega.
• Training government expense par hai, lekin agar koi cadet medical ke alawa kisi aur reason se withdraw hota hai ya apne control ke reasons se, toh ₹20,482 per week refund karna hoga (2026 rate).
• Passing out se pehle final allocation arm ya service ka hota hai, selection ke time nahi.
• Short Service Commission ke options: 5, 10 aur 14 saal ke baad release, aur 10 saal ke baad permanent commission ka option.
