The fee is ₹25 — for everyone

There is NO application fee for this advertisement. What you pay is an online processing fee of ₹25, and it is ₹25 for unreserved, OBC, SC and ST alike.
Dependents of freedom fighters, ex-servicemen, women, divyangjan and outstanding sportspersons pay according to their own category from that same table — which is still ₹25.
⚠️ The MAIN EXAM fee is separate and is paid only by candidates who get shortlisted, before they can download the main-exam admit card. Paying ₹25 now does not cover it.
Payment is by credit card, debit card, internet banking, UPI or an SBI e-challan. No other route is permitted.

You cannot apply without PET 2025

Only candidates who sat the Preliminary Eligibility Test (PET) 2025 and were issued its score card may apply. There is no other entry route into this recruitment.
You log in with your PET 2025 registration number and an OTP sent to the mobile or email registered against it.
Shortlisting for the main exam is on the NORMALISED PET 2025 score, in merit order. Only shortlisted candidates sit the main exam.
⚠️ Candidates whose actual or normalised PET 2025 score is zero or negative are NOT shortlisted, however well they qualify otherwise.
Candidates flagged 'Under Investigation (UI)' or 'Provisional' in the PET 2025 result may apply provisionally — shortlisting and everything after it stays subject to the commission's enquiry.

208 posts, and the eligibility date that governs everything

208 vacant posts across the various cadres under the Office of the Forensic Science Laboratory, Uttar Pradesh, Lucknow, advertised as 15-Pariksha/2026.
You must ACQUIRE and POSSESS the essential educational qualification and every other required certificate by 17 August 2026, the last date. Acquiring it a day later does not count.
A caste or reservation certificate must have been issued on or before that last date, in the format printed in the advertisement's appendix and available on the website.
EWS candidates need a certificate issued between 1 April 2026 and 17 August 2026, based on financial year 2025-26 income and valid for 2026-27, on the format set by UP government order 3/2019/4/1/2002/ka-2/19 TC-II dated 14 March 2019. An EWS certificate from an earlier window will not do.
Submit only ONE application against this advertisement.

Filling the form — where claims are silently lost

Your name, parents' names, UP domicile details, category, EWS status, horizontal reservation, date of birth, gender, marital status, mobile, email and both addresses all auto-fill from PET 2025.
⚠️ You must explicitly SELECT each post you want. A post you do not tick gives you NO claim to it — the form does not assume you want them all.
For each selected post you declare the board or university, year of passing, certificate or roll number, and the date the qualification certificate was issued.
Your photograph and signature are carried over from PET 2025 and CANNOT be changed here.
You enter a preference order for the posts you selected, and answer Yes/No on preferential qualification.
At document verification you again give a post preference. The commission tries to allot accordingly, weighing availability, merit, the post's qualification and the age limit — but its decision is final.
On submission you receive an 11-digit registration number. Print that form and keep it.

Fee reconciliation — the step that strands applicants

Your application submits itself only after the fee is successfully paid AND reconciled by the bank. Until then you cannot print it.
If the form does not appear after a successful payment, the fee has not been reconciled. Go to Applicant Segment → 'Update Your Transaction ID by Double Verification', log in with your registration number and click 'Verify Transaction ID'.
If payment failed you get a Payment Acknowledgment Receipt instead of the form. Verify the transaction the same way, then pay again through 'Application Fee Deposition'.
Paying by SBI e-challan means downloading the challan, paying at any SBI branch, then entering the challan details under Double Verification to reconcile.
The last date to deposit and reconcile the fee is 17 August 2026, with the reconciliation and correction window running seven more days to 24 August 2026. After that no fee, no printout, and no representation or claim is accepted.
Corrections to the form are possible only AFTER it has been finally submitted, through the Applicant's Dashboard.
