Selection process
- Register online, appear in PGAT-I (conventional PG) or PGAT-II (non-conventional PG), then admission by merit. (page 1)
- MBA/MBA(RD) applicants take an additional departmental test. (page 1)
Exam pattern
- Each test is 300 marks with 150 MCQs; there is no negative marking. (page 1)
- 50 questions cover General Awareness, English, Hindi, Reasoning and Mental Ability (compulsory for most courses). (page 1)
- PGAT-I is offered online and offline; PGAT-II is online only. (page 1)

- Reservation: SC 15%, ST 7.5%, OBC 27%, EWS 10%, plus 5% for benchmark disabilities and 2% sports. (page 1)
- Fill subject codes carefully — no change is allowed at any stage. (page 1)
- NCC weightage and sports quota do not apply to B.Ed., M.Ed., MBA and MBA(RD). (page 1)
Registration fee
- PGAT-I courses: ₹1,000 for Unreserved, EWS and OBC; ₹500 for SC, ST and PwD.
- PGAT-II courses: ₹1,600 for Unreserved, EWS and OBC; ₹800 for SC, ST and PwD.
The test
- Each PGAT-2026 test is 300 marks with 150 multiple-choice questions. There is no negative marking.
- Fifty questions cover General Awareness, General English, General Hindi, Logical Reasoning and Mental Ability, and are compulsory for all courses except LL.M., B.Ed., M.Ed. and MBA / MBA(RD).
- PGAT-I is offered in both online and offline mode; PGAT-II is online only.
- MBA and MBA(RD) applicants take an additional test set by the department.
Reservation and quotas
- 15% SC, 7.5% ST, 27% OBC and 10% EWS, as per Government of India policy.
- 5% for persons with benchmark disabilities and 2% sports quota in each course.
- NCC weightage and sports quota do NOT apply to B.Ed., M.Ed., MBA and MBA(RD).
- Sports quota admission requires a fitness test (50m sprint, 1000m run, overhead ball throw, standing broad jump).
Before you apply
- Fill your subject codes carefully — no change is entertained at any stage of PGAT admission.
- Read the PGAT-2026 information bulletin on www.allduniv.ac.in for course-wise eligibility; there are minor changes this cycle.
- Foreign nationals apply through the International Students Adviser instead, and do not take PGAT.
