Who can apply
- A BE/BTech or equivalent degree in the engineering discipline of the post applied for, with an aggregate of at least 65% marks (average of all semesters) or CGPA 6.84 on a 10-point scale.
- A valid GATE 2025 or GATE 2026 score in the paper prescribed for that post. Shortlisting is done on the GATE Score — not the GATE marks and not the GATE rank.
- For Architecture (BE007) a graduate degree in Architecture plus a valid registration certificate from the Council of Architecture is required.
- Age limit is 28 years as on 17 August 2026. UR/EWS candidates born on or after 18.08.1998, OBC on or after 18.08.1995, SC/ST on or after 18.08.1993.
- Serving government employees, PwBD, SC, ST and OBC candidates get age relaxation as per Government of India orders, wherever posts are reserved.

- The final panel is drawn with 50% weightage to the GATE score and 50% weightage to the interview marks.
- Promotion at ISRO runs on the Merit Promotion Scheme, under which promotion to higher levels for scientific and technical posts is delinked from vacancy availability.
