Fee — and Chhattisgarh residents get it back
- General ₹350 · OBC ₹250 · SC, ST and divyang ₹200. Paid online while applying, under the Skill Development, Technical Education & Employment Department letter F 5-20/2015/Jan.Ni./42 of 14 December 2015.
- Local-resident candidates of Chhattisgarh who ACTUALLY APPEAR in the exam get the whole fee refunded after the result is published, to the same bank account they paid from. This is under General Administration Department order RULE-8/2/2024-GAD-1 dated 21 April 2025.
- Note what triggers the refund: appearing in the exam, not applying for it. A resident who pays and stays home is not refunded.
- After the fee is paid you must still press SUBMIT. Payment alone does not submit the form — and take the printout afterwards.

Eligibility — the sentence the board underlines
- Read the Higher Education Department's eligibility rules before applying. Only candidates who satisfy those rules are eligible.
- The notice states it in bold: filling the online form, or even sitting the exam, does NOT make you eligible. There is no eligibility screening at the application stage to catch you.
- Certificates for caste, date of birth, local residence, educational qualification, disability or ex-serviceman status are NOT collected with the online application.
- CGSSB takes no responsibility for what you enter — the entire responsibility is yours, and your result is prepared purely from what the form says.
Profile registration, and how corrections actually work
- You apply through a one-time profile registration on the portal. Once registered, personal details fill themselves for every later exam.
- Check your profile details BEFORE submitting the application — the application is built from the profile, and the result is built from the application.
- To correct basic information you must fix it in the PROFILE first; only then does the application show it correctly. Correcting the form alone will not do it.
- Three extra days are given after the last date for this. The board makes no correction at any stage, on any ground.
- Your admit card is issued strictly on the entries as they stand after that correction window closes.
