Who can apply
- 10+2, plus at least a two-year diploma or certificate in Physical Education — D.P.Ed or C.P.Ed, or the same course under any other name.
- ⚠️ Punjabi is compulsory. You must have passed Punjabi as a compulsory or elective subject at matriculation standard, or pass a qualifying Punjabi test set by the recruiting agency. It is a mandatory qualifying test and failing it disqualifies you, whatever your written-exam score.
- The posts are governed by the Punjab State Elementary Education (Physical Training Instructor) Service Rules, 2023, as amended by the First Amendment Rules, 2025.

- A written examination.
- A Physical Eligibility Test, which is QUALIFYING only. It has five components and you must complete three of the five to pass.
- Final selection is on combined merit in the written test plus a sports achievement score, at the weightage set out in Appendix B of the rules.
- Sports weightage is counted for one gradation certificate only, issued under the revised Gradation Policy.
- Document verification and a medical examination follow selection.
- Rules for applying the Physical Eligibility Test to candidates with disabilities follow the instructions of Punjab's Department of Social Security, Women and Child Development.
