Kaun apply kar sakta hai

Master's degree ya equivalent with at least 55% marks (no rounding off) from a UGC-recognised university.
50% for OBC Non-Creamy Layer, SC, ST, persons with disability, aur third-gender candidates.
Final-year ke candidates bhi apply kar sakte hain — provisionally admit kiye jaate hain. Degree SET result ke do saal ke andar complete karni hogi, warna eligibility cancel ho jayegi.
Upper age limit nahi hai.

Eligibility aur marks requirement

General, Unreserved and General-EWS: at least 55 per cent in the Master's degree or equivalent, from a UGC-recognised university — WITHOUT rounding off.
OBC non-creamy-layer, SC, ST, Persons with Disability and Third gender: at least 50 per cent, also without rounding off.
Final-year ke candidates, aur jinke result awaited hain, wo bhi apply kar sakte hain — provisionally admit hote hain.
Provisional candidate ko Master's degree required percentage ke saath SET result ke do saal ke andar complete karni hogi, warna eligibility cancel ho jayegi.
Third-gender candidates ko SC/ST/PwD jaisi hi fee aur eligibility relaxation milti hai, aur unka subject-wise cut-off sabse low hota hai SC, ST, PwD, OBC-NCL aur General-EWS ke cut-offs mein se.
Apne post-graduation ke subject mein hi appear karna hai. Agar subject SET list mein nahi hai, toh UGC NET ya CSIR NET mein appear karo, jo saal mein do baar hota hai.

Exam pattern aur marking

Do papers, sabhi objective MCQ, koi break nahi hota.
Paper I: 50 questions, 100 marks, ek ghanta — teaching aur research aptitude, reasoning, reading comprehension, divergent thinking aur general awareness.
Paper II: 100 questions, 200 marks, do ghante — tumhara chosen subject.
Total duration 3 hours (180 minutes). Har question compulsory hai.
Har sahi jawab ke liye 2 marks, aur negative marking nahi hai galat jawab ke liye.
Unattempted questions ka koi score nahi — isliye koi bhi question khali chhodne ka koi reason nahi hai.
Agar koi question reason se drop kiya jata hai, toh sabhi candidates ko uske liye 2 marks milte hain.
Agar koi question ke ek se zyada sahi answers hote hain, toh sabhi candidates ko credit milta hai jo sahi options mein se ek choose karte hain.
